Acai berry scams are everywhere these days it seems and it is truly a real shame that they have entered into the marketplace like they have.

Acai, literally, burst onto the scene a few years ago when it was featured on nearly every talk show out there.

The benefits of acai are positive and they are most certainly there. But thanks to certain people they are becoming thought of as scams instead of the hidden secret to losing weight.

As all the hype around the acai berry built a few years ago a few scam artists decided to pretend to give away free trials of the products while actually just forcing the consumer to give them their credit card details and make them pay huge money for it.

As the product got popular and started to really gather some steam a few scammers got together and decided to create their own, fake acai berry products.

It`s a sad reality that such a small group of people could take such a large amount of money from the consumer like this. But it`s just a part of business and I suppose there is and always will be snake oil salesmen around.

Now that is all fine and dandy and there is most certainly nothing wrong with that. But the thing is all those terms are hidden so far down in the fine print most people do not know they will ever get billed and canceling these memberships can be real hard.

All of a sudden the consumer would be billed every 30 days for the product and chances are they did not even know they were going to be – unless they read that tiny little print.

Now your probably thinking to yourself that you just need to stay away from the free trial products and everything will be fine.

What makes this whole situation even tricker is the fact that these free trial products are around half scams and half of them are great products.

So picking the winners from the losers is sometimes like picking the best apple blind folded.
