One of the few drawbacks to strawberries is their life expectancy once they ripen and are harvested. They grow moldy in a very short space of time. On the other hand though, fresh strawberries contain no salt or Cholesterol and hardly any fat at all. They are also very rich in fiber and vitamin C, not to mention minerals like Potassium, Manganese, Magnesium, Calcium and Phosphorus, and most importantly Folate.
