What Exercise Should Be, Going Far Beyond Videos

Stephen Unato | August 7, 2011

Best workout videos don’t end on TVs and DVD players. In fact exercise should be more than just what you see on those screens. Later you will know why you have to have difficult work in order to reach what you need for yourself. Purchasing workout videos and putting them in the disc rack will not place you in a great position.

It all starts with choosing the right exercise video. You really ought to know in the first place the honest thing to purchase. You can do it by doing exacting research about the materials. One is that it should be a set that's being endorsed by people with good standing and those that are known in the field.

2nd, once you have placed your order or have already bought one, you need to prep your place. Make a particular room or area in your home which can often be converted into a little gym. Don’t place any furniture or other frail objects. It will just stop you from doing the most out of your new mission.

Next, follow every directions found in the set. Don't miss any of the things that is written or shown in the video. Some sets have dieting plans in them. It is a whole fitness program contained in one set. This is the reason why you have to be keen in selecting them as it can establish your success or failure.

After you have finished everything, the real challenge will now start. You must note that everything you have learned in your workout video must go beyond beyond what you have seen. Exercise is a lifestyle; therefore don’t let it end in the 4 corners of your room. Do it every day even if the videos have just stopped. The only way to become successful in fitness training with no regard for the strategies is making it a lifestyle. Unless you understand that, you'll just be walking blind.

Gym routines can be done in many methods. Selecting the best workout videos can turn the tides particularly if they are done properly. Know more about it now.

Helpful Tips On Bodybuilding And How To Build Muscles

Ricardo d Argence | January 26, 2010

Among the best bodybuilding tips about how to build muscles is to begin bodybuilding at a young age. Starting off young and keeping to a regular workout routine and eating a healthy diet, drinking plenty of water and taking any nutritional supplements you need.

It means getting out there early to do your workout sessions so your body can increase your metabolism while building muscle and burning fat during the entire day and more than likely produce even more muscle mass. It also means committing and focusing on your own bodybuilding endeavors while ignoring all the hyped up marketing ploys of supplements and even comparing yourself to the appearance of other bodybuilders bodies.

Building muscles with body building is about more than what you do in your routine or even how. Being successful as a bodybuilder also requires understanding why these steps will bring you closer to your goals.

One of our best bodybuilding tips also means properly executing the exercises necessary for muscle mass growth. You have to understand that if you frequently change your workout routines that you are not stimulating your body properly. The body takes time to adapt to change.

So, you have to do something repeatedly in order to experience the change or growth of muscles. Growing and maintaining your muscles will a lot take time, patience and steady repetitious sessions or applications.

Sometimes you will find that a certain routine will stop producing results for you; when you come to a plateau, then it’s time to change things up and begin using a new workout plan ” this should result in continued muscle growth. Stay with your bodybuilding routines, but only until they stop helping you to build muscles and improve your muscle tone.

Another great bodybuilding tip is to keep things simple with your routine. Rather than chasing after every new program, supplement or other product that comes along, keep with the routines and techniques which work for you. It’s OK to try out new things, but don’t let the marketing fool you ” look at each on their own merits.

As a bodybuilder, you probably will want to take some supplements to help you to build muscle. Vitamin supplements can help you get the nutrition you need when you can’t get it all from your diet. Protein and creatine supplements may also be needed; protein helps to build muscle and creatine is a supplement which can allow you to recover from your workouts faster.

To build muscle quickly, you’ll want to incorporate compound exercises into your routine; as well as isolation exercises to increase your endurance and heavy weight training to build mass and get your body to produce the hormones which help you get towards your goals. Use weights heavy enough to help you build new muscle tissue, but don’t overdo things.

Diet is one of the most important elements of any bodybuilding routine. To keep your muscles growing over the long term, your body needs the right nutritional balance; the wrong diet can actually lead to a reduction in muscle mass!

Something to keep in mind is that every pound of body weight lost is about 60% muscle and 40% fat, so remember to get adequate caloric intake. Cardio workouts burn off calories, but don’t do them every day ” alternate a day of cardio training with a day of weight training for the best results.

To get the best results from your bodybuilding regimen, you have to allow your body some rest in between intensive sessions of weight training; this is the key to continued muscle growth.

Female Muscle Building, How To Look Like A Model

Ricardo d Argence | January 25, 2010

More and more women are waking up to the importance of bodybuilding. They too want to achieve perfect proportions for their body with attractive curves in all the right places. Body building workouts also tone ones muscles and firm the body making you look younger and fitter. And its not just about looking good, you would also feel good, fitter and much stronger. It will also be good for your health and general level of fitness.

Technically there is no strict distinction between body building workouts for men and women. Why should there be when they both have the same number and type of muscles and bones.

The main difference between men and women in terms of muscle building is that men have much higher levels of testosterone, which helps to build muscle. Women on the other hand have more estrogen, which naturally works towards storing fat. Regardless of these hormonal differences however, if you follow the correct workout and nutrition strategy you’ll be able to see results.

Some women also mistakenly believe that muscle turns into fat. They then are hesitant to get starting with a workout program because they believe if they ever stop, than all of their hard work will turn into flab.

However, this can be disregarded as it’s completely false and is nothing more than a myth. You see, muscle and fat tissue are completely different and can’t just transform into one another. On the contrary, a loss in muscle might coincide with a gain in fat when you stop a workout program because you stop stimulating muscle growth and you stop burning as many calories.

When you stop working out your metabolism decreases and so you burn fewer calories, and of course you aren’t participating in the physical exercise and stimulation that you were before.

Bodybuilding can be of great advantage to women. The important thing to remember is that if you want that perfect shape for your body you need to work with great focus, determination and patience. You will need to put in a while lot of handwork to get desired results.

1. The first thing that you can do is to appropriately change your diet so that you can allow for muscle growth and burning fat. If you make a few small changes you will be able to easily transform for your entire routine.

Try eating small meals every two to three hours instead of eating big meals three times a day. You can easily fit these breaks into your schedule no matter how tight your workday is. The meal has to be small and healthy, so you wont need much time to finish it.

2. The best way to build new muscle mass is by using the best possible exercises at your disposal. These are compound exercises, which target more than one group of muscles at one time, and stimulate a huge amount of muscle growth. The best compound exercises are the squat, the deadlift and the bench press. If you use these you’ll be able to add a ton of new muscle mass to your frame.

3. You’ll also need to be sure that you get enough rest so that your muscles are allowed to grow and repair. You need to get a full night’s rest every night, to the tune of about 98 hours.

When you are exercising vigorously your muscle tissues need time to build and repair. And this happens when you are sleeping. If you don’t get enough sleep, your body’s muscle building potential will deteriorate steadily.

Are you sick and tired of being weak and flimsy? Let us take you by the hand with the best muscle building workouts to pack on pound after pound of ripped, firm muscle weight in the shortest period of time possible. Visit us to read more Muscle Building Articles

Best Muscle Building Supplements – Are They Really Needed?

Ricardo d Argence | January 24, 2010

Many weight trainers who want to reduce their fat and build up muscle take bodybuilding supplements. The reason they take them is often to make it easier to recover after training and to improve their overall performance as well.

To ensure you get the nutrition that is needed as you increase the amount of activity in your life, there will be some supplements that are necessary for this reason. If you don’t have the supplements needed, then you won’t have the energy that is required to do all the body building exercises you are trying to do.

Creatine as well as whey protein are top protein supplements and used to help build more muscle. Vitamins and minerals are also needed, and good supplements can provide you with those you need, helping to make sure you don’t deal with a vitamin deficiency when you train.

Minerals and vitamins are what take the food eaten and turn it into the energy needed. Basic fat burning and muscle burning is also aided by certain vitamins. Amino acids, creatine, whey protein, and testosterone boosters are important protein supplements that can help you build more muscle as you work through your training program. They help keep muscles from being as sore and aid with building muscle too.

Carb blockers, fat burner supplements, and appetite suppressants will help you along with burning excess fat. Antioxidants such as green tea are good for a natural energy boost. There are many energy boosters and supplements on the market to help give you more energy and stamina during your training program.

Eating balanced meals that are healthy is very helpful and important. Supplements are not the only way you should be getting the nutrition that you need. Of course even though we eat good foods, we don’t get all the nutrition needed because of cooking the foods and processing them. Supplements can provide the extra nutrients needed.

Of course you can’t build muscle with just vitamins and minerals. You’ll need to work hard and be dedicated to your routine in order to lose fat and start building more muscle. Without a great training program and a healthy diet, just taking supplements are not going to help you to lose fat and build more muscle.

Steroids are a very bad choice for bodybuilding. Although they allow you to build muscles quickly, they also cause a lot of harm. Tendons and ligaments have a hard time keeping up with the fast growing muscles, thus injuries are common among body builders using steroids.

They also cause extreme aggressiveness, affect liver and other essential functions in the body. There is not a magic pill that can make you build muscle and lose weight without a lot of hard work and dedication. These products can also be dangerous.

You can find here a lot of free weight lifting programs, articles and routines. We shot the lid off of bodybuilding supplement industry to reveal the honest truth about building muscle, maximizing strength and dissolving away unwanted bodyfat. Visit us if you want to read more Fitness Articles

Muscle Building, How To Do It After Your 40th Birthday

Ricardo d Argence | January 23, 2010

They say that age is just a number, but when it comes to work outs and staying in shape that age factor is a definite factor in how you will approach your fitness regimen. Some people want to say that they are over 40 and they use their age as an excuse for not maintaining a healthy lifestyle and a regular workout routine.

Do not use your age as an excuse to avoid physical fitness. If you approach weight training, diet and work outs the correct way you can maintain a remarkably healthy and fit body for many years, regardless of your age. Routine bodybuilding, along with weightlifting regimens can be used by you to lose weight, reshape your body, become more fit and healthier, and increase your bone density.

Feeling better about yourself starts with keeping physically fit, as it is not a well kept secret that those that take better care of them selves are happy in life. Physical activity also releases endorphins, which induce feelings of happiness in people who exercise.

When you are 40 years old and older you might want to make a couple of changes in your workout, but you do not have to be victim of the publicity about aging. With age, the muscles and joints become less supple, further necessitating appropriate amount of stretching and warm up before exercising.

A fifteen minute stretching and warm up period will help increase your suppleness, and lower the chance of sports injuries. Your muscles will be more conditioned the more you stretch properly and completely.

Now you should do fifteen minutes worth of cardio exercises on an elliptical training machine, a stair stepper or an exercise bike. You are not attempting to reach your limit with this one; however, you do want your heart rate to increase and to continue to develop your limberness and flexibility. This exercise will let your body know that you are serious about doing some work.

The next step should be to work out with light weights, if you are doing circuit training or a free weight routine, have a quick run through without the stress of heavy weights, and then follow this brief warm up by doing reps with the appropriate weights.

When using the pyramid system, you add reps but use less weight, then you start adding weight and decreasing the reps, which is how a lot of the bodybuilders do their workouts. Pay constant attention to your posture. This method of weightlifting has great success for those who want to add muscle and bulk to their bodies. Even if it means decreasing the weights or the amount of repetitions, correct posture must be your main consideration. This maximizes your results and reduces your risk of injury.

You should be training with weights at least four days per week and each session should be no more than 30 to 45 minutes. One could repeat a cardio workout to wind down after lifting weight. This also give your heart and lungs strength.

The Fast and Safe Way To Gain Muscle

Ricardo d Argence | January 22, 2010

Has become a trend among young individuals, having a well toned and a muscular body. If you are reading my article then you probably want to look like one of those actors with great muscles and tones. But just follow my advice in this article and you will soon look like them. They did not start to look the way they do now over night. It took a while and it was a lot of hard work.

But when I say safest and fastest I don’t mean easy way. There’s no shortcuts when you are talking about healthy muscle building. As they say, there are no shortcuts to success. If you have a goal in mind, you have to put your mind to it and work hard to achieve that goal. It will take hard work and you have to really put your mind to it. But you will get to your goal, if you continue with the routine everyday. There are ways to rapidly build muscles without jeopardizing your health.

In order to give a significant boost to your bodybuilding process it is very important to follow the points mentioned below.

Strong determination and will power, it is the first step to start working on your bodybuilding program. It is very important to have strong will power and determination to build a well toned muscular body. You need to accept the fact that building muscles is not an easy task. It often happens that people feel motivated in the initial days of their bodybuilding program and gradually the motivation fades away when they realize it takes a lot to achieve what they want. This happens to almost everyone and this is where strong determination and will power is required to keep you going.

You should be aware that routines are a large part of the lifestyle. If you lead a haphazard life you will not help yourself with your bodybuilding process. In order for a workout routine to work, you have have a great routine and stick with it. You have to continue with the routine everyday. And spend the same amount of time everyday working on the same muscles. This you will have to do for the best results possible.

Your muscles will only grow if you have a routine that is structured for each muscle. Each muscle workout program is designed for that muscle. And if you don’t have the right routine it will not work. So make sure you join a gym and follow the workout program prescribed to you by your instructor, also remember, practicing the wrong workouts is not going to do you much good.

In order to achieve muscle growth and definition you have to do a lot more than working out and eating. A proper and healthy diet is as important as a proper workout program. The right person to prescribe you the right diet plan that will help you enhance your bodybuilding program is your dietician.

Something important for almost everything that we do in life is water. It also helps in boosting your bodybuilding process. Drinking 8-9 glasses of water per day is very essential. During your workout you lose a lot of water. Sweat is the way our body has to prevent over heating. Consuming water serves to rehydrate the body and assist in proper functioning.

Sleep is something that you also can not neglect. When you are sleeping your body gets the amount of rest that is required for repairing your tissues, your tissues undergo wear and tear while you are working out.

If you really follow what was said above, and you do this every day, you will surely see an improvement in your muscles. Again if you do this everyday, your muscles will change faster than you expect. Before to long you will see major improvement.

Bodybuilding Workouts, Having a Pump Does Not Mean You Are Gaining Muscle

Ricardo D Argence | January 18, 2010

Picture this scenario: you’ve been working in the gym for half an hour and after a really hard set of your routine on the bench your chest feels tight and engorged with blood. It feels great, healthy, powerful. “Pump”, is how they call that feeling. If you have ever had the feeling, then you know great it feels. Arnold said it’s like having sex (i’m not really sure if it’s good in THAT level, but yes, it’s an amazing feeling).

A “Pump” is nothing but the tight, blood-congested feeling in a muscle after it has been intensely trained. Muscle pump is caused by a rapid influx of blood into the muscles to remove fatigue toxins and replace supplies of fuel and oxygen. But it doesn’t matter how great you feel, if the goal you’re trying to reach is to build muscle.

Don’t worry if you achieve a pump during your workout, it’s not a bad thing. It’s nothing but the natural result of intense weight training. Its blood running trough your veins, that’s all. But, if you go to the gym to get that feeling instead of focus on gain muscle, well, if you think that’s the right way to get the look you desire, let me tell you one thing: you are wasting your time (and money), and you are completely wrong…

On countless occasions I’ve heard lifters raving about the massive pumps they get in the gym as they share methods for achieving the best pump possible. “Dude, this will give you a crazy pump!” If you have already been working out for a decent amount of time then you know exactly what I’m talking about. While a pump does feel extremely satisfying, just remember that it means very little in terms of muscle stimulation and growth.

A pump does not build muscle. If muscle pumps meant muscle growth, then super light weight, ultra high rep programs would be the most effective way to grow. But overloading and giving your body a reason to grow does. It’s just a way to keep you training. Just that. If you really want to measure your achievements all you have to do is to keep a notebook and write down some numbers..

Keep a record of your workout (in terms of weight and reps), and compare them week after week. If you are increasing your resistance, if you can perform one or two extra reps, then you had a successful workout, it doesn’t matter how far you were to achieve a pump.

Building muscle mass and strength is all about training with 100% intensity on every given set and then striving to improve from week to week. If you are able to consistently achieve this, your muscle size and strength will increase faster than you ever thought possible, with or without a pump.

Weekly Body Building Workouts, Arms and Triceps

Ricardo D Argence | January 17, 2010

Our arms are composed of a number of different types of muscles. Among these muscle types, it is the triceps that are always used with arm movements. As the name implies, triceps are comprised with three main muscles. Strong and big triceps gives an individual the ability to lift heavy loads. Also, having well-developed triceps is a known characteristic of great and powerful arms. That is why so many people are seen doing military presses, bench presses and any other triceps exercises to develop lean and strong triceps.

Without strong triceps a strong arm can not be imagined. This is because the muscle takes 2/3 of the entire length of your arm. You also have to exercise your biceps, so that your arms will look rounded and properly proportioned.

Dumbell exercises are most effective in triceps building. Before doing any of these, remember to have a proper warm up. Which minimizes the chance of injuries to warming up is crucial to ensuring great exercise results, it basically prepares the body to the physical demands of doing certain exercise.

Toning up of muscles of triceps is achieved by push ups. Using dumbbells for load or increased body resistance helps in intensifying any form of triceps exercise. Another option you can use to tone your muscle is to replace the pull down machine with a dumbbell, grasp it with both hands and point it to the rear of the head. You will feel the triceps flex by maintain a position and gently pull the dumbbell up and down.

In the gym, triceps toning exercises begin with rope pull down machines. The machine exercises the triceps by allowing you to do similar exercises as those done with the dumb bell. Remember to maintain proper posture in doing these exercises to ensure correct execution. Exercises are all for quality of movements and not the number of reps.

Improved exercises are done for strengthening of upper and lower triceps. For mass, heavy weights such as the close-grip barbell bench and weighted dips may be used. Dips and cable pressdown exercises can be useful for someone who wants to strengthen his upper triceps. For building lower triceps, weighted dips and dips was found to be effective, intensify the exercise by only going 3/4 of the way up force to fully concentrate on the lower triceps.

When building up triceps, better result are usually achieved when a person train while he is fresh. By supersetting triceps exercises, one can have an Olympia-quality arm. Usually, it is harder to build bigger triceps. According to the priority principle of body building, targeting first the-hard-to-workout muscles is the key to achieving well-proportioned body building results.

Triceps strengthening also depends on eating a proper diet, receiving the proper nutrition and getting an adequate amount of rest. Diet is very important in exercise in order to go on with the demanding exercises. Exercise and nutrition is like science and fitness working together in achieving ideal results. To achieve long-term gains in weight training, you need an equal balance of exercise, rest and a well-balanced diet.

Bodybuilding Tips, Overtraining Can Kill Your Muscle Gains

Ricardo Daryans | January 14, 2010

Some guy in the gym finishes a hard set of barbell squats and re-racks the weight. He feels really tired and he takes a big swig from his water bottle. He looks down at his watch and presses the start button to begin counting down backwards from 2 minutes.

Somebody told him that 2 minutes is the ideal rest time between sets in the gym, and he wants to get it exact. Every time the watch beeps, he’ll be back in the squat rack to perform another set. He stands up tall and paces around trying to catch his breath in preparation for his next battle.

When the time is up he doesn’t feel really ok. His legs still feel weak, but it doesn’t matters how he feels, because his 2 minutes have passed and he have to go back to perform another set of exercises.

He performs the next set. He is not really ready to exercise right now, so he puts forth a mediocre effort, finish the set, and waits for another 2 seconds. He is making a huge mistake, just as hundreds of lifters in another gyms.

By having a set rest interval between sets, he is forcing his body to train at an effort level that is far less than his maximum potential and is severely sacrificing the amount of muscle growth he can ultimately stimulate because of this.

A muscle respond to stress. When you lift an amount of weight doing a number of reps your body adapts to this level of stress. If you want your muscles grow, then you have to force your body to higher levels.

In other words, building muscle is all about progression in both weight and reps. It is about lifting as much weight as you possibly can for the greatest number of reps that you possibly can (within a given rep range of course) and then continually striving to improve.

Because of this, you must always go into every single set of every single workout at your maximum strength potential. By sacrificing the amount of weight you can lift, you sacrifice the amount of muscle you can build. And there is no worse way to make this sacrifice than by not providing your body with enough rest between sets.

So, return to your exercise set when you feel you are again at 100% of your strength capacity. When will it be? When your body tell you so, listen to it an you will know when it is time to the next set.

The time between sets cannot be always the same. It will depend on the type of exercise you are performing. Some of them will tax the body much more heavily than others and obviously will take more time to your body to return to the ideal state.

Free Gym Workout Programs To Have Big Shoulders

Ricardo d Argence |

One important part of bodybuilding is the development of the shoulders. You will look great just standing there, and you will look even better when you strike a double-back bicep pose. If you develop your side deltoids in proportion to the biceps, the arms and biceps look large and well defined.

Your shoulder is composed by the posterior, medial, and anterior deltoid muscles. If you include the entire shoulder girdle, then it also consists of the muscles of the rotator cuff and the upper trapezius.

The deep rotator cuff muscles connect several parts of the thoracic region to the back, side, or front of the humerus. Upper trapezius muscles are the muscles that run from the back of the neck; extend to the medial deltoid, then downward to intersect with the middle trapezius. Going further back on the shoulder, below the lower portion of the upper trapezius, is the posterior deltoid muscle. The outer part of the shoulder is a where the medial deltoid lies, with the anterior deltoid muscle being visible outside of the pectoral muscles.

Either of your shoulders has an individual function when the arm is lifted. The arm is brought forwards, inwards, or rotated by the anterior deltoid. The medial deltoid allows the arm to move away from the side. When the arm is moved back or rotated outwards, the posterior deltoid comes into play. When the scapula is moved upward toward the ears, like shrugging your shoulders, the upper trapezius muscle does the job. Finally, the rotator cuff muscles provide stability to the arm when it is moving and allows the arm to rotate.

There are a number of exercises that will effectively build the shoulder area such as the military press, lateral raises, lying lateral raises, the Arnold press, behind the neck press, and bent-over lateral raises. The upright row in addition to bent-over rows will also help you build the shoulder area to magnificent proportions.

The secret to forming huge shoulders is to comprehend the way the shoulder operates and maintain its health. You should do everything possible to avoid injury so you do not hinder your progress in the gym. One of the most common injuries is to the rotator cuff muscles. The rotator cuff is made up of muscles which are not exactly large and strong. So that you don’t get injured try doing some band work with your shoulder workout.

In order to reduce the risk of injury double check that you’re using the proper weights. You should be able to have control of the weight through the entire movement. If you can’t do a complete set of repetitions, or you have to adjust the position of the weight, then you need to lower the weight. Using too much weight puts too much stress on the shoulder and is likely to cause injury. The success to this is all in you using the proper technique using the full range of motion, prior to increasing the weight.

Although building up shoulder muscles takes a bit of effort, bodybuilders concur that the result justifies the work involved. Because each body grows at its own rate, research and patience are vital.
