The Fantastic Side of Hair Extensions

Jalen Roses | November 24, 2011

In the world of fashion and beauty, hair extensions have come a long way. Gone are the days of painful processes, or worse long term alopecia. For many, it is revolutionizing the world of beauty and opening doors to opportunities for exciting new looks and styles. The ability to better your look or improve your outward appearance can greatly increase your self esteem.

With the improvements of technology there are now several new, safe, pain-free methods in hair extension techniques. Here is a summary of some of the most popular ones. Adhesive based fusion is considered by many professionals to be the best technique, it should be noted though, that it really comes down to the type of adhesive that is used in the process.

If the thought of getting extensions still makes you nervous, don’t forget about the ever growing popularity of clip-ons. They are great for a quick, super easy transformation. They are used for much of the same affects: length, color and volume. Additional uses of clip-ons are: bangs, ponytails, braids and even fun patterns.

Today, hair extensions are used for more than just length; take for example, volume. Individuals that have extremely thin or fine hair often long for more body and thickness. By adding extensions to their existing hair, they are able to have more volume, and opportunities to styles and cuts that may not normally suit their hair type.

Indeed hair extensions have come far, in fact, they date all the way back to the days of the Egyptians. The benefit of hair extensions are many: adding length that would normally take years to get, volume for those with thin or fine hair, color experimentation without causing damage, change of texture for those with difficult to manage hair, confidence and having fun in creating a new style or look for yourself.

Emo and Punk Hairstyles – The Story Behind Each Look

Toni Moretti | November 10, 2011

Just when we think, we have seen it all and heard it all when it comes to hair something new comes out. Then that is what keeps fashion so exciting. One of the latest fads to hit the market that allows an individual to be him or herself is the Emo hairstyles.

So what exactly is the Emo hairstyles.? To begin with it is most often done with black hair then splashes of color will be added throughout the hair much like highlights except the color may be more bold and certainly much brighter. You may want to consider perhaps pink or orange for example. That does not mean that it has to be black but the majority of the styles are with black hair.

To go even further with this hairstyle it is broken down into Emo for boys and Emo for girls. The best advice is that of hair stylists that specialize in this type of hair and they will tell you that the most important thing is to be unique.

One thing you really want to be sure of though is if you are going to go with a dynamic hairstyle that you are the type of individual that does not mind expressing their individuality. There is one thing about it you are certainly going to turn heads at least with the more conventional type people.

Do not think that an Emo hairstyle does not require any maintenance because it most certainly does. It takes a specific type of haircut to bring out the Emo hairstyles. This means that you must make sure that you get your maintenance haircut on a regular basis. If not you are going to lose the perfect overall look of your Emo hairstyle.

Therefore, if one wanted to classify or give a definition to Emo it would come down to people’s individuality when it comes to hair fashion. If you were to walk into a hairstylist and tell her, you want an Emo hairstyle do not expect that you are going to get the same one that your friend has unless you specifically ask for that particular color and style.

It is interesting to note that the boys go as much for the Emo hairstyle as what the girls do. Again it comes down to it gives them a chance to make their own fashion statement. One has to admit that boys are quite often limited as to what they can do with their hair. Although in later years now more young men have gone for dyeing their hair as well as perms. . As we have mentioned a lot of the Emo hairstyles depend on the cuts. That does not mean that every Emo style has to be cut exactly the same way. There may be a variation in the bangs for example and for the block coloring as well as the length of the bangs that are chosen. One thing you want to be sure is that for the boys not to have the Emo fringe too long.

Best Haircuts For Mature Women

Jack Wogan | January 14, 2011

There are various changes that occur in a woman’s body with the passing of the years. For that matter, the hairstyle and the outfits that one woman used to wear in her early 20s become inappropriate when she turns 50. At this age, ladies confront themselves with several issues, such as, lines, blemishes and skin spots, so they, usually, have to figure out a method to hide these flaws, while emphasizing the qualities.

The capillaries grow old, too, not just the skin; therefore, women over 50 should do their best to restore the vitality and the shine of their hair. Other than adopting a new haircut, mature ladies have to use professional hair care products to make their locks healthy again.

The lack of volume, one of the recurrent problems at this age, may be easily counteracted with a layered hairstyle. By shortening the hair at the top of the head, mature ladies will give richness to their crowning glory and they will elongate their figure. Another advantage that comes with a layered hairstyle is that the front strands divert the viewers’ attention from the lines of the neck, mouth and eyes.

As we all know, face muscles are negatively influenced by a woman’s weight variations, so elderly women have to find a method of masking this affection called dropping jaw line. Experts recommend short to medium hairstyles for ladies with this problem; in addition, they suggest women to soften the jaw line by framing the face with multiple layers.

Since elderly women’s hair becomes frail and thin, short hairstyles are more advantageous for them. Nowadays, you may choose whatever coiffure you like; however, it is the bob that constitutes the piece of resistance of the current century. The success of this hairdo comes from the fact that both young and mature women can wear it, so ladies over 50 who choose to style their tresses this way, will look sophisticated and modern. There are numerous variants you may choose from, depending on the shape of the face and the neck, but most women have manifested their preference for the classic or the asymmetric bob.

Now you can maintain the health and the shine of your locks with the help of the wonderful professional hair care products, so you no longer have to cut your tresses when you turn 50. These products will make your hair look great and people will never guess your real age.

Common Questions for Hair Beauty

Dorothy Auston | December 16, 2010

Many people are born with beautiful hairs while many are not. No matter you have in-born beautiful hairs or not, good cares are required to keep them beautiful. Otherwise, the most beautiful hairs may become weak and brittle due to different types of external damages. The key to beautiful hairs is by understanding more about hair care!

Human hairs are similar to those of polar bears that they are both hollow. Hallow hairs means there is space inside the hairs. Human hair is not hundred percent hollow, but approximately 20 percent hollow. This percent varies a bit among different hair types including dry and oily. In general, the higher the percentage of hollow, the weaker, dryer, duller and brittler is the hair. Besides, hairs with higher hollow percentage have less satisfactory results on coloring treatments.

There are professional (in hair salons) and home oil treatments. Usually, people find the results of oil treatments are more visible when it is done in hair salons. The greatest difference may not lie in the products, but the heat. Heat from steam oil treatment helps nutrients penetrate deeply into the hairs to repair damages and hair squamae. Therefore, the result is visibly smooth and shiny.

Why waves are not long lasting after perm? There are several possible reasons actually. It may be related to the selection of perm solution and the time control by your hair dresser. For example, thick and healthy hairs require special perm solution and a longer perming time. In addition, it may also be related to your daily care after perming. For example, you should not brush your hairs with a hair comb. You should also avoid the use of a hair dryer.

Washing hairs every day is a good habit. Researches show that this helps maintain clean and healthy hairs. But, experts do not suggest washing hairs every day for everyone. For example, people with dry hairs may find their hairs dryer and weaker if they wash them too frequently. This is because their natural sebum is excessively removed. On the other hand, people with oily hairs may wash them every day. Otherwise, too much sebum may be accumulated.

Usually, there are three hair types including dry, normal and oily. But some people may have combined one like oily scalp and dry hairs. These people may be confused in choosing the right hair products. If you are one of them, you are suggested to use shampoo and conditioner for oily hairs. In addition to that, you need regular hair treatment for deep nourishment. You may choose treatment that is focusing on the protein replenishment.

What Makes Nisim Biofactors Work To Treat Hair Loss?

Carrie Deppen | October 18, 2010

There are a lot of hair loss products on the market today and sometimes people are getting confused on picking the correct product. Although most items are topically applied or taken as a pill, they’ve got all sorts of unwanted effects from an irritatingly dry scalp to disgracefully not able to perform in bed.

With Nisim Biofactors you don’t need to panic about losing your manliness or having a dry itchy scalp that may eventually leave you bald anyway due to scratching because Nisim Biofactors is made of an all natural, all herbal and vitamin rich formula.

Nisim Biofactors comprise of a shampoo, conditioner and stimulating extract. The Nisim Shampoo and Conditioner are made of a proprietary blend of herbs, amino acids and B-complex vitamins.

Amino acids are essential for hair growth. As we all know, hair is mostly made of protein and to make protein you’ll need amino acids. In fact, amino acids are actually the building blocks of protein. Vitamins that are important for hair growth like Panthenol, Biotin, and Inositol are included in this hair treatment. Also, the special herbs that provide nutrition to the scalp and hair are Glycine Soja, Panax Ginseng, Castanea Sativa, Arnica Montana, Hedera Helix and Geranium Maculatum.

The Nisim Shampoo and Conditioner are specially made to stop or prevent it from occurring. If you have a family history of thinning hair, better use this shampoo and conditioner early. Keep in mind, the Nisim Shampoo and Conditioner stimulate hair growth, it prevents and stop hair loss.

The Stimulating Extract is the product you need if you are already on the late stages of hair loss. This product is made from an herb that effectively inhibit the effects of dihydrotestosterone on the scalp therefore stopping the “male pattern hair loss” or “female pattern hair loss” from further advancing. In one to two years your hair will be back and if you’re satisfied with how thick your hair is, you can stop using the extract and just continue with the shampoo and conditioner. The stimulating extract needs the shampoo to work, it is not a standalone product

As stated earlier, the shampoo and conditioner provides all the nutrients the hair needs and the stimulating extract stops the effect of DHT on the scalp. Solely stopping DHT will take ages before seeing results. Adding nutrients to the hair at the same time will rejuvenate hair growth, that’s why it takes merely two years maximum to get great results, unlike other hair loss products that take years and years to grow just a bit of hair.

Read This Before You Buy Your Next Shampoo, H2o+ Sea Plankton

Quinn Mallory | June 24, 2010

H2O+ Sea Plankton Shampoo is amazing! Do you want soft hair without the greasy buildup of a conditioner? IS your hair brittle or fried? Does your current shampoo make you smell your hair periodically throughout the day? I have found an Eco friendly shampoo that can deliver all of the above and more.

Ingredients include Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, Pro Vitamin B, Sea Plankton, Algae Extract. So as the name suggests Sea plankton is actually in the shampoo. It is recommend for over styled, over processed hair and to aid colored hair retain its color. However, I think this shampoo is great for any hair type.

It will restore the strength, bounce and softness to your hair, by removing built up oils and styling products.

Helping colored hair hold its color longer and natural hair to have more of a shine. I have used this for a month or so now and love how soft my hair feels.

I have tried many products and get varied results. No matter what combination of shampoo and conditioner I use I always need a leave in detangler. With H2o+ Sea plankton shampoo this is not the case. I have even gone without conditioner at all and was shocked at the results.

Looks like this product has been discontinued so I suggest you stock up before its too late to purchase. The fresh smell is sure to put a smile on your face and shine on your locks. Why is it every time I find a great product it disappears like the dinosaurs? I should probably keep this one a secret and hoard what’s left. But it smells so great I can’t keep it bottled up.

Learn more about H2o+ Shampoo. Stop by livecofriendly’s site where you can find out all about the h20+ Sea Shampoo and what it can do for you.

Proven Ways To Make Hair Grow Faster

Rob Maraby | January 27, 2010

Many people, both men and women, want to know how to make their hair grow. Some people cannot get their locks to grow as long or as fast as they would like. In this article, I will teach you how to achieve long, healthy hair.

These 8 Simple Ways To Make Hair Grow Can Work For You.

1. A good supply of vitamins and minerals is necessary for hair growth. Biotin has extensive research showing that it is helpful for growing longer, stronger hair. Prenatal vitamins are also good for hair growth, and have the additional benefit of being excellent as a whole body supplement.

2. Vitamins D, C, B, A, and E are also great supplements that help make hair grow faster.

3. An adequate protein supply is necessary to make hair grow. Hair is made of keratin, which is a form of protein. If you do not get enough protein in your diet, you can increase your intake through amino acid pills.

4. If you exercise at least 30 minutes each day, you gain two benefits for hair growth. First of all, exercise boosts circulation to all parts of your body, including your scalp. And second, when you sweat, you can unclog pores on your scalp, which can make a big difference for hair that grows well and looks healthy.

5. Hair grows while you are sleeping or resting, so you should try to sleep at least eight hours every night to promote hair growth. This is the fifth of my eight simple ways to make hair grow.

6. Eat a lot of leafy green vegetables. These have vitamins and minerals that are required for growing long, healthy hair. They also have fiber which boosts your immune system and helps regulate digestive functions, both of which are essential for growing healthy, long locks.

7. A product called Mira hair oil is the most effective way to make hair grow. It is formulated to contain all of the herbs needed to promote a long, healthy mane.

8. The last of my eight simple ways to make hair grow is to use a good hair oil, such as Mira oil, to nourish and condition your hair. It contains herbs that will encourage the growth of longer, healthier locks.

These eight simple ways to make hair grow will quickly give you a beautiful, long mane if you follow them. Be consistent, and with a little patience, you will be rewarded.

A Primer on How to Make Your Hair Grow

Rob Maraby |

Here are some simple tips on how to make your hair grow.

If you want faster growing hair, you are probably wondering if it can be done. Most experts claim that average hair growth is somewhere between 0.5″ and 1″ per month. Since this number is nothing but an average, it does not tell the whole truth. In the following article, I will teach you how to grow longer, stronger hair.

Internal stimuli, as well as external ones, can be crucial steps in how to make your hair grow. Blood flow is increased by exercise, and your scalp benefits just like the rest of your system. To grow a healthy head of hair, good blood flow is necessary.

You might want to add supplements to your diet by taking biotin, Vitamin C, and Vitamin B. Two other supplements to consider are Ashwaganda and amino acids, since both of them not only are beneficial to growing your hair but also boost the immune system.

Keep yourself well hydrated. Adequate water is needed to keep your organs and immune system functioning properly, which is needed to optimize hair growth.

Here are some tips on how to make your hair grow faster by using external aids.

Use Mira hair oil, an Arjuvedic formula, to give yourself a massage. Put some oil on your scalp and then use your fingertips to rub it in well. Start with the back of your head and work toward the forehead. Then perform hair tugs.

Hair tugs are simple to perform. All you need to do is insert your fingers in your hair, then pull or tug gently at the roots. This will lead to hair that is healthier.

These tips on how to make your hair grow faster will give you longer, stronger locks in no time. Just follow them consistently and have some patience.

Some People “Get” Home Hair Coloring and Some Don’t – Do You?

Suzan K Bishop | January 26, 2010

Question: I’d love to color my hair at home. Yet I’ a little scared and don’t know where to start exactly.

Okay well, while DIY hair coloring isn’t exactly fool proof, you can come close to that. For sure you can avoid creating a big mess that will pinch your wallet plenty as you have your mistakes fixed by a professional colorist. Here’s some ideas.

Before You Color: How committed do you plan to be to a color? In other words do you want it to last weeks, months or can you live with it longer? As in much longer. Once you decide simply pick the box of coloring based on that comfort level.

What Color Please? Hoping for something more along the lines of a shade that looks like you were born with it. Or do you want to make statement with a more drastic change. If you stick with a hue no more than two shades lighter or darker than your hair is now, well, that you can handle. If you’re going from brunette to a sun kissed blonde, schedule time with a colorist.

Condition First Color Second: Don’t even think about coloring your hair without conditioning it first. Doing so insures a better dye job since the pigment will take better. Reason being deep conditioning repairs damaged tresses. Plus you’re also protecting your locks from the chemicals required to color your hair in the first place.

Hold the Shampoo: Avoid shampooing for a couple of days before you subject your hair to the coloring process. Sure some like to get that last bit of styling product out of their hair. But not to worry. Won’t affect how today’s dyes work anyway. Yet the oils left in your hair naturally will protect your scalp from irritation.

Divide and Conquer. There will be none of that “you missed a spot” stuff if you think of your hair in four sections. Split down the middle from front to back and then again from ear to ear. Each quad then can be colored in turn. Trust me, taking an organized approach like this keeps you from ending up with hair that opted out of being colored by accident.

Extend the Life of the Color: Easily done. Simply lather up with warm rather than hot water. The color will last like up to 20% longer. Told you it was easy.

Anymore you could say it is not all that hard to color your hair at home. As long as you pay attention to the details you too can apply the coloring like a pro. Just so you realize if you fail to follow the directions on the side of the box you can quickly end up with a real hair disaster.

Unsure about haircuts for curly hair? Having trouble reigning in your naturally curly hair? Looking for easy, quick, manageable hairstyles for those curly locks of yours? Advice and tips to give you curly hair that is sexier, more alluring, and just plain easier to manage can be found at FullerHeadofHair.com.
