Finding Foods That Help Improve Skin Elasticity In Aging Skin

Peter Albertonach | January 16, 2010

Is it possible that foods that you eat can help aging skin and help improve your skin elasticity as you age?

However it’s not quite as easy to improve your skin health as you age simply be eating a few simple foods.

But it’s also quite clear that your diet does affect your skin health and your skin elasticity as you age. You need to eat a healthy diet high in vitamins and minerals and anti oxidants and this will definitely make a difference to your skin.

You need to follow all the advice that you read everywhere about eating to stay healthy. Lower intake of fats, particularly animal fats, higher intake of fresh fruit and vegetables and lower intake of salt and sugar. What is good for our body generally is good for our skin. No doubt.

But there are some who spend their time looking for the magic bullet food that, if you eat it, will result in big improvements in skin elasticity and skin health. There are some foods that foods that help improve skin elasticity in aging skin, but it’s not quite as easy as that.

Here’s 2 examples of foods that help improve skin elasticity in aging skin

1. Omega 3 you’re probably familiar with. It’s a good fat found in oily fish and in some other foods and it’s recommended for heart health and has some other benefits for the body too. But you may be unaware that omega 3 fats are also very good for your skin.

For a whole range of reasons a diet high in omega 3 fats is very important and you ought to be aware of this. But it’s not quite as easy ensuring that you eat a lot of omega 3. Some societies eat a lot of the right types of fish, for example, but we tend not to. And fish can be very expensive and getting more so.

2. Seaweed is another food that is very good for skin elasticity. Not just any old seaweed but a seaweed that is found around the coast of Japan called phytessence wakame. It might sound strange to say that it is a food, but the Japanese have eaten phytessence wakame for centuries, fresh and dried. It is a big part of the Japanese diet from very young right through to old age.

And its no coincidence that Japanese women have the worlds best skin right into old age. And science knows why this is, its because of all that seaweed they eat right throughout their lives.

There’s a whole stack of reasons why phytessence wakame is good for your skin. I’ve written about it on my website and won’t reproduce it here or it will be too long, but it’s science has discovered a wide range of ingredients in phytessence wakame that improve skin elasticity and skin health.

That’s 2 foods that help improve skin elasticity in aging skin and there’s more, but I’m leading up to a point here.

Its extremely difficult to put together a diet that will really make a lot of difference to your skin purely from what you eat. Certainly there’s no doubt that eating a healthy diet is extremely good for your skin, but just trying to eat foods that help improve skin elasticity in aging skin and offer other skin care benefits is very difficult.

And often the active ingredients in these foods can be as good for your skin or even better when applied directly to your skin rather than eaten as well.

So what do you do if you want to improve your skin elasticity? (And there’s no doubt that skin elasticity and improving skin elasticity is essential in the fight against wrinkles.)

What you can do is to use the best natural skin care products that contain all these ingredients in one easy to use product.

Most big brand skin care products tend to contain chemical ingredients manufactured in a lab, usually as these are much cheaper than natural ingredients. But its quite possible to get skin care products with the ingredients mentioned above, and lots more. That way you dont need to try and find seaweed to eat, or spend your time eating oily fish. Its really way too hard trying to combat skin wrinkles or loss of skin elasticity by eating specific foods. Certainly focus on eating a healthy diet, but everyone ought to do that anyway.

If you’re specifically interested in improving skin elasticity then the best way by far is to use natural skin care products that contain ingredients from the best foods, as well as from many other natural sources.

If you’d like to know more about these products that contain natural ingredients visit my website.

Want Great Looking Well Moisturized Skin? You Don’t Need The Best Moisturizer At All.

Peter Albertonach | January 12, 2010

Does that confuse you? Surly if you want great looking well moisturized skin you need to find the best moisturizer? No, and here’s why, and also here’s 4 steps to great looking skin that is also well moisturized skin.

The best way to have great looking skin is to have healthy skin. If you have healthy skin it’s moist, looks great and doesn’t sag or wrinkle or feel dry, and it makes you feel good. And it’s well moisturized, even if you didn’t use the best moisturizer.

I’ll say it again. The key to well moisturized skin is to have healthy skin. Because healthy skin is, almost by definition, well moisturized skin. If it isn’t it isn’t healthy. Makes sense.

So should you be looking for the best moisturizer you can find or should you be looking for skin care products that target overall skin healthy and make your skin better like that? And is there some other things you can do to ensure healthy skin?

So there’s other things you can do to make your skin healthy other than using great skin care products?

Yes there’s more, some quite simple, though not necessarily easy. Here’s the 4 things you need to do to have great looking healthy skin that looks and feels, and is, well moisturized.

1. It’s essential to eat a good diet, because this keeps you healthy. And healthy skin goes with a healthy body. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, regularly.

2. Exercise. Exercise makes your blood flow better and better blood flow is better health overall, and what? Better skin health.

3. There’s 2 things you mustn’t do if you want to have great skin. Smoke or get sunburned. Both are just terrible for your skin, and no amount of skin moisturizing is ever going to repair the damage caused to your skin by smoking or excessive sunburn.

4. What’s the last thing you need to do to have great skin? Use the best natural skin care products available. There are some excellent natural skin care products that are specifically targeted to improving skin health, and along the way they moisturize better than the best rated moisturizer. There’s no point in just moisturizing, tackle overall skin health and skin moisture retention will do with it.

Yes the skin care products that moisturize better than any others aren’t in fact a moisturizer at all. They are products that include natural moisturizers that are better than the ingredients in the big brand name moisturizers, but they aren’t moisturizers. And so if you search the best moisturizers you won’t even find them.

So remember if you’re out there looking for the best facial moisturizer it isn’t actually a moisturizer, and that using the best skin care products that are available is only a part of great looking skin.

The Number 1 Question For Older Women. Increasing Skin Elasticity.

Peter Albertonach | January 10, 2010

Here’s an exercise for you. Take a piece of skin, say on your arm, and pull. If you do that, and let go, it snaps back into place. That’s skin elasticity.

If you do that with a 15 year old and a 75 year old you’ll notice a big difference. The skin of the 75 year old person returns to its flat state much slower. That’s because you lose skin elasticity as you age, and its skin elasticity that produces the reaction of returning your skin to flat.

What creates skin elasticity? Primarily its collagen and elastin. You’ve probably heard of collagen and elastin, 2 skin proteins that help hold your skin together and create elasticity in the skin.

Elastin, for example, is found right throughout our bodies and is a strong rubbery type substance. Elastin is found in many of the parts of our bodies that help hold us together, like ligaments.

Both collagen and elastin form fibers that are extremely strong and help hold the skin in one piece and make it elastic.

There is a process called glycation, for example, that breaks collagen down. It’s not necessary to know why, it’s a little complicated, what you need to know is that you lose your stores of collagen as you age and what you do about increasing your collagen stores.

And of course the loss of skin elasticity is the result of the loss of collagen and elastin. That may be happening to you, depending on your age.

Now of course it’s not news that our skin loses elasticity from the loss of elastin and collagen, and the big brand skin care companies know this, and know that consumers know it. So they put collagen and elastin in the bottles of skin care products that you see advertised and on the shelves.

But there’s a problem with this. Science has known for some time that molecules of collagen and elastin are too large to penetrate the skin, so cannot get into your skin through the surface.

So if they don’t work why in the world would they put them in the bottles? Because they know that having collagen and elastin listed on the label sells lots of bottles.

So if adding them to the bottle doesn’t actually do anything how do you get more collagen and elastin into your skin as you age?

It’s entirely possible to increase skin elasticity by increasing collagen and elastin and it’s done by a revolutionary product called Cynergy TK which is manufactured in New Zealand. What Cynergy TK does is to stimulate the skin to produce more of it’s own elastin and collagen.

The product is sourced from the wool of sheep and has been clearly shown in studies to increase the skins own stores of these 2 skin proteins. Visible improvements in skin elasticity from using skin care products with Cynergy TK in has been seen in as little as a few weeks. This results in a reduction in skin wrinkles.

But as a consumer you can’t buy Cynergy TK, you get it by using the worlds best skin care products that contain it.

So if it works so well why aren’t the big brand name products using it? Because it’s much more expensive than putting a small amount of elastin and collagen in the bottle and putting that on the label.

So then the best skin care products containing Cynergy TK must be really expensive then? But they aren’t, because whilst the big name companies spend tens of millions on TV advertising, which has to be factored into the product price, the small niche skin care company making the best skin care products doesn’t advertise on TV at all, so you won’t have heard of them and they don’t spend big on marketing. They spend on product quality.

So you really can improve skin elasticity by increasing collagen and elastin, and you can even try the products risk free, because this small company, knowing that you’ve probably never heard of them, offer a full money back guarantee just so you can satisfy yourself that they products are as good as they say.

So if you’re aging and are losing skin elasticity there is something you can do about it, risk free.

At 40 You’re Beginning To Wonder What The Top Skin Care For 40 Year Old Women Is.

Peter Albertonach | January 1, 2010

It’s something you’ve avoided thinking about but the sad truth is that you’re almost, or past, forty. And you’ve noticed that your daughters skin is just so much better than yours. And you’ve finally come to an understanding of why your mother seemed so much more interested in skin care at 40 than she was at 30.

Now of course 40 isn’t that old but in skin terms the skin aging process is under way. You’re skin is aging and the results are visible.

But there’s more that you need to do than just looking for the top skin care products for 40 year old women. The first thing you need to do is to take all that advice that you’ve read for years about keeping healthy.

Because great looking skin is about good skin health, and good skin health comes with good overall health. You cant have smooth glowing great looking skin if youre unfit, fat, smoke and live on pizza and burgers.

Sorry for the bad news, but you need to take care of yourself.

Remember, smoking is about the single worst thing you can do for your skin. Just don’t smoke.

Don’t get burned. Sunburn is almost as bad for your skin as smoking, and can even give you skin cancer, something you definitely don’t want.

You need to eat lots of good fresh fruits and vegetables, the fresher the better so that you get lots of good antioxidants, minerals and vitamins, all of which are good for your skin.

And although it may seem strange to link exercise and skin it is important to do plenty of exercise.

But even all that isn’t quite enough. There’s more you can do. You need to use the best skin care products you can find for 40 year old women. Now that doesn’t mean that there are special skincare products for 40 year old women, the best skin care products are the best skin care products for everyone, regardless of age.

But it’s true that if you start using the best skin care products at forty then you’ve got a much better chance of reversing the skin aging process at 40 than you have at 60 or 65. The loss of skin collagen and skin elastin with aging is the biggest cause of aging skin problems, and you need to combat that to combat the development of wrinkles, lines and skin sagging.

Start at 40 and you’ve got a much better chance of reversing the damage caused by skin aging than you have much later in life. The earlier you start using the best skin care products the better they will work for you.

So if you’re one of those women who are slowly passing forty and it’s you that is beginning to think about finding the top skin care products for 40 year old women, then that’s what you need to do. Start getting healthy and start using the worlds best skin care products.

Leave it too late and that’s just it, too late. Follow this advice to the letter and starting early and you’ll be way in front of women who leave it till their 50s or 60s.

Finding A Natural Skin Moisturizer Isn’t Easy.

Peter Albertonach | December 18, 2009

There is a worldwide recognition amongst consumers that chemical products are on the way out and that natural products are preferable. This includes natural skin care products and so natural anti aging products are selling like hot cakes. Including skin care products with natural skin moisturizers.

There really are natural skin moisturizers, quite a few of them actually, and if you could find them all and use them you could make quite a difference to your skin. But finding them won’t be easy, and you could well find that it’s cheaper to use a natural skin care product that includes these natural skin moisturizers.

Heres a few examples of excellent and quite natural skin moisturizers. You might not have heard of them.

1. Shea butter which comes from the seed of a shea tree, and which is packed full of all sorts of ingredients good for your skin, like vitamins A and E. And it has essential fatty acids that are just about identical to those produced in the sebaceous glands of your skin to moisturize the skin.

And as well as moisturizing shea butter softens skin too, making you look younger.

2. Phytessence Wakame which is a kelp, or seaweed that is eaten both fresh and dried by the Japanese and found around the coast of Japan. Japanese women have the worlds best skin right into their older age and Phytessence Wakame is why. Science now knows why having investigated it extensively, but it isn’t news to the Japanese.

Phytessence Wakame is packed with all sorts of vitamins and minerals that are good for your skin and has natural moisturizing properties.

3. Sorbitol. You can find sorbitol in pears and plums and grapes and berries, as well as seaweed and algea. It is a fine moisturizer helping protect the skin from losing moisture and it also smooths the skin.

4. Capuacu oil. Capuacu oil comes from the seed of the capuacu tree and helps moisturize by regulating the effects of lipids on the surface of your skin helping protect skin moisture.

5. Cynergy tk comes from the wool of sheep and has a wide range of ingredients that are good for skin health and also helps protect the skin from moisture loss.

And an essential part of skin moisturizing is conserving skin moisture.

So there you have 5 natural skin moisturizers. And you can use them to make huge improvements to your skin health. That’s provided you happen to have a capuacu tree and a shea tree in your yard, live close to a beach with the right seaweed and happen to have a pet sheep.

But sadly that isn’t practical for most of us, and a far better way is to buy the best natural skin care products that contain all of these ingredients all in one product.

These products are proven to moisturize successfully and to have a visible effect on your skin within a relatively short time. That’s way easier and probably cheaper, and beats feeding sheep.

You’ll find out on my website where to source the worlds best skin care products that contain these 5 natural skin moisturizers, and more.

Looking For The Best Facial Moisturizer? It Isn’t A Moisturizer.

Peter Albertonach |

Would it surprise you to know that the best facial moisturizer is not actually a moisturizer at all?

But lets look first at what a moisturizer is and what it should do for your skin.

A moisturizer is designed to improve the hydration in your skin. Or in other words it helps the skin keep moisture in the skin cells. And if the skin dries out it becomes less supple, it looks and feels drier. And it can be more prone to skin damage.

Skin that is well moisturized is more healthy than skin that is not well moisturized, and it will also protect itself better

And many different moisturizers help protect the skin in different ways, for example by including a sunscreen.

But unfortunately there are moisturizers on the market that contain ingredients that can be suspect to your health and even dangerous.

For example you ought to avoid moisturizers that contain mineral oil. And many do. Why? because mineral oil coats your skin in oil and this can cause skin problems itself, like exacerbating acne problems.

And I also believe that you shouldn’t use a moisturizer with a sunscreen in it either. Yes it is vital to protect your skin from the effects of sunburn, but there are some ingredients in sunscreens that some believe can cause cancer. Now if you use your moisturizer every single day as you should you are putting on a suspect sunscreen every day when it’s unlikely that you could possibly need a sunscreen every day.

So one of the most important things that you can do when looking to find the best facial moisturizer is to look at the ingredients. There are many skin care products that can contain some extremely nasty ingredients that can actually cause skin reactions and allergies.

So choosing the wrong facial moisturizer can in fact do more damage to your skin than good.

So, I’ve talked a little about facial moisturizers in general, lets look to see what’s the best facial moisturizer.

I consider the best facial moisturizer to be the natural skin care products from a small niche skin care company that you probably have never heard of. Ill explain why.

This small company makes a range of skin care and anti aging products that are designed to promote overall skin health, rather than just moisturizing, because moisturizing is only a small part of skin care and skin health. But they don’t actually make a moisturizer, what they do is add ingredients to their products that mean that their products in general moisturize better than any others.

They don’t use mineral oil or a sunscreen for the reasons I’ve already talked about and they add ingredients to their skin care products that moisturize extremely well.

Ingredients such as Jojoba Oil. Jojoba Oil is an excellent natural oil and helps protect the skin from moisture loss by forming a layer on the skin to do so, and it is also absorbed into the skin cells thereby softening the skin. It is entirely non allergenic, (as are all the ingredients they use) and it is good for all skin types.

And ingredients like this are healthy for all skin types so this small company doesn’t make products that differentiate between skin type, they don’t need to.

And vitamin B5. This also has moisturizing properties but it also helps repair skin damage and adds some natural sun protection.

Or sorbitol, which can be found in grapes and berries and seaweeds and others, and helps the skin retain it’s moisture as well. And Capuacu oil from the seeds of the Capuacu tree which helps the skin retain moisture and smooths the skin.

There’s more, but I hope you get the idea. There are natural skin care products that work extremely well for overall skin health, but which also contain ingredients that moisturize extremely successfully as a part of a complete skin health routine.

So there you have it. A range of natural skin care products are in fact the best facial moisturizer you can get. They promote optimum skin health, but along the way they moisturize extremely well because that is an important part of overall skin health. For all skin types.

Find out more about these natural skin care products on my website.

Ms America Advises Us To Use Natural Skin Products Warns Us Off Mainstream Skin Care Products.

Peter Albertonach | December 6, 2009

If you’ve heard of Susan Jeske it’s probably because she was crowned Ms America in’97. Susan spent some 20 years of her life as a beauty consultant working for a major cosmetics company, but now has done a’0 degree reversal and tells Americans about the dangers of the chemical and petrochemical ingredients used in modern cosmetics and modern skin care products. She promotes natural skin products and natural cosmetics. What made Susan change?

Susan had some serious skin and health problems a few years ago. In desperation she turned to a holistic doctor who told her about the dangerous chemical ingredients used in cosmetics and skin care products and suggested she discontinued their use. She did discontinue their use and within 2 weeks the health and skin problems were gone. As a result she began to research more about the ingredients which go into modern cosmetics and skin care products.

It must have come as a shock to someone who had spent a good deal of her life promoting cosmetics and modern beauty products to discover that so many of these products were laced with chemical ingredients, many of which are banned in Europe, some of which are known to cause cancer, and some of which were causing her own health problems. But Susan spent some time researching this and was horrified by what she found.

The result was that Susan Jeske quit the cosmetics company and now spends her time speaking around the country warning people of the dangers of toxic chemical ingredients used in mainstream skin care products and cosmetics and other personal products.

She has even compiled a list of the 12 most toxic ingredients that you should never find listed on the label of any product you intend to apply to your skin.

Susan is not alone. There are entire organisations set up to alert consumers of the risks of modern skin care products and cosmetics. For some time I have written about this on my website can and warn about the risks of personal products and offer consumers some alternatives to buying safe natural alternatives. The FDA isn’t required to satisfy itself about the safety of any chemical ingredients used in products and doesn’t do so, and for this reason this problem continues to get worse.

Most of these chemical ingredients are used because they are extremely cheap and by using them the companies can dramatically increase their profit margins.

There are excellent natural products such as natural skin products and natural cosmetics which are available right now which use other nonchemical natural ingredients which are highly effective and which are also perfectly safe to use. However these ingredients are more expensive than the chemical alternatives and so are not used by the mainstream big name players.

But there are excellent high quality natural skin products as well as high quality natural cosmetics which are available right now and which are manufactured by small niche manufacturers who see an opportunity to capitalise on this problem by marketing their products to consumers who are aware of the problems with mainstream products.

If you’d like to find out more about Susan’s speaking tour you can visit her website.

And if you’re also interested in finding out more about the dangers of modern skin care products and cosmetics, and about the safe natural alternatives that are available if you know where to find them, then visit my website.

Anti Aging And Great Skin Care. Sunscreens Are A Big Part Of Both

Peter Geraldson | December 4, 2009

Whilst you can’t prevent getting older there are some big factors in skin aging that you can prevent. Skin aging is caused by a combination of factors, and one of the biggest is sun damage. So if you want the best skin care, sunscreen is a huge part of that, but only a part.

The component of sunlight which damages your skin is ultraviolet radiation. UVA and UVB are both present in sunlight and UVB burns your skin. But blocking UVB radiation only prevents sunburn, and there is more to preventing skin aging from ultraviolet radiation than merely preventing UVB radiation.

The reason is that UVA radiation, although it doesn’t burn, is much more important to skin aging and also causes many skin cancers including some of the worst.

The FDA doesn’t require the labels of sunscreens to tell us how much UVA protection is included in the sunscreen and the result was that in the summer of 2008 there were only 29 percent of sunscreens that had some UVA protection. A year later that percentage increased to 70 percent but that still means that 30 percent of sunscreens on the market have no UVA protection. The results can be skin cancer and excessive skin aging.

It’s difficult to tell how much sun protection your sunscreen really offers you, and if you’re suffering from premature skin aging this may well be a result of skin sun damage from UVA exposure, even though you may have carefully used sunscreen for years.

And even worse, there are ingredients in sunscreens like oxybenzone which is known to work as a hormone disruptor and may even cause skin cancer. And there are also ingredients in some sunscreens that can reduce the effectiveness of the product.

Consumers ought to be able to expect that their sunscreen will prevent skin sun damage such as sunburn, premature skin aging and skin cancer, however that is currently not the case and you ought to choose your sunscreen extremely carefully.

Sun protection doesn’t just involve sunscreen. In fact sunscreen should be a last resort and used only where necessary, far better is to use a long sleeved shirt and a hat, or even better to stay out of the sun during the middle of the day, particularly in summer.

Many anti aging consumers are not aware that one of the major causes of skin aging, namely sun damage, is entirely preventable. From as young an age as possible, preferably starting today, promise to yourself that you will carefully prevent sun damage and you will also use the best anti aging products that are available. If you do that you’re well on your way to the best anti aging skin care that it’s possible to get.

Whilst anti aging products, well the good ones anyway, go a long way towards reversing aging of the skin, taking some proactive steps yourself to prevent skin sun damage is also part of a quality anti aging routine.

To find out more about preventing skin damage and about the use of high quality anti aging products visit my website.

Why Should Mice And Millions Of Women Consider Using A Natural Moisturiser?

Peter Albertonach | December 3, 2009

There’s very good reasons why mice should be using a natural moisturiser. And many of those reasons also apply to people, including the millions of women who use moisturisers in America.

A recent study was set up to investigate whether caffeine could cause skin cancer in mice. As a part of that study each mouse had moisturiser applied to it’s skin 5 times a day for 17 weeks. The study is reported in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.

The scientists were surprised to find a result that they hadn’t expected. One of the conclusions that they drew from the study was that applying these moisturisers to the mice “increased the total number of histologically characterized tumors by 69%”. Or, in layman’s language, that using a moisturiser on the mice dramatically increased their risk of skin cancer.

Lets examine this a little more closely and find out why mice, and millions of women in the US who use moisturisers everyday, should be much more seriously considering using a natural moisturiser.

Dermabase, Dermovan, Eucerin, or Vanicream were the moisturisers applied to the skin of the mice. All of these moisturisers containing sodium lauryl sulphate (SLF) and mineral oil.

Mineral oil is a petrochemical product that comes from crude oil. It is found extensively in a very wide range of personal products such as skin care and anti aging products, cosmetics and other personal products. It is used so widely because it is incredibly cheap. Mineral oil is also found in many moisturisers, and has been linked to cancer and other serious health issues.

Sodium lauryl sulphate is more well known as an ingredient in many soaps and shampoos, and many people avoid soaps and shampoos containing sodium lauryl sulphate because there is significant evidence that it is bad for your health and can even lead to cancer. But what is less well known is that sodium lauryl sulphate can also be found in many moisturisers.

The mere fact that these moisturisers increased the risk of skin cancer in the mice by a very significant amount doesn’t prove that the mineral oil or the sodium lauryl sulphate caused the skin cancer. Much more serious investigations would need to be undertaken to establish the exact cause, however one more fact should lead you to worry about your moisturiser, and also suggest you that you should be seriously considering using a natural facial moisturiser in the future.

This is the worrying fact. The scientists were very surprised to find the rate of skin cancer in the mice increase as they did, particularly given that this was not what they were studying. So they sourced another moisturiser that was a much more natural moisturiser, and which didn’t contain any mineral oil or sodium lauryl sulphate and they redid the study. This time they found no increase in the rate of skin cancer in the mice.

So you can see that there are some worrying conclusions to be drawn from the study, and you can also see why so many American women, as well as mice, might be more seriously considering using natural face moisturisers rather than a moisturiser they may be using now which may well contain sodium lauryl sulphate and mineral oil.

There are hundreds of personal products, many or most of which contain petrochemical and chemical ingredients which have serious health concerns linked to them, and many of which have been shown to cause cancer. You may have used one of these products today, like your moisturiser.

The good news is that it’s perfectly possible to buy excellent natural skin care products which don’t use sodium lauryl sulphate or mineral oil or any of the other chemical petrochemical ingredients which are commonly found in mainstream skin care products and which, in many cases, have been linked to various health problems. These natural skin care products use natural ingredients which are safe to use and which work extremely well.

What Do Skin Proteins And Cynergy TK Have To Do With Skin Care?

Peter Geraldson | November 30, 2009

As your skin ages it begins to lose some essential components, all of which helped your skin stay supple and firm when you were young. But as you age your skin starts to lose skin elasticity, and it was elasticity that helped keep your skin supple and firm. The result is that, with age, your skin starts to sag and starts to form wrinkles. Elastin, collagen and keratin are 3 important skin proteins, all of which contribute to skin elasticity.

Keratin is a family of proteins that form extremely strong fibres in the outer layer of our skin and it can be also found in hair and nails. It contributes to the strength of your skin and also to its waterproofing ability, it’s almost like a layer of plastic over your skin.

The outermost layer of the skin is primarily composed of dead cells containing keratin which also help protect it. And if we can increase the amount of keratin in our skin this helps it produce new cells. As we age our skin slowly decreases its ability to produce new cells.

So you will find keratin in many anti aging products. But this keratin found in regular anti aging products is extracted from feathers, horns and hooves of birds and animals by a process which combines heat with acid. This changes the form of the keratin, making it of little use to the skin. But a new product called Cynergy TK has changed that.

Strictly speaking Cynergy TK isn’t a product. It is actually an ingredient which is used in the worlds best anti aging skin care products. It is manufactured using components from the wool of sheep, by a company in New Zealand. Studies undertaken on the effects of using skin care products containing Cynergy TK have shown very impressive results. It is patented.

The keratin is taken from the wool of sheep but it is not extracted using either heat or acid. This produces keratin which is virtually identical to that found in our skin and this is very effective at helping the skin repair itself. It also helps the skin to produce new cells and these 2 factors increases skin elasticity and moisture retention.

And studies have also shown that the keratin found in Cynergy TK helps stimulate the skin to produce more collagen and elastin, 2 other skin proteins which are very important in maintaining skin elasticity and which are also gradually lost with age.

Studies undertaken on the effects of using skin care products with Cynergy TK show improvements in moisture levels of– percent after’ days use as well as a 42 percent improvement skin elasticity over this time. The result is an improvement in skin health and a reduction in wrinkles that is quite noticeable.

As we age our skin ages with us, forming lines and wrinkles as a result of loss of skin elasticity. Skin care products containing Cynergy TK can help reverse this, producing better skin health which results in less wrinkles and better looking skin.
