Free HCG Diet Recipes, Part 5

Amelia Handley | May 3, 2010

Looking for a few good free HCG diet recipes? Look no further. This is the last in a series of articles releasing some really yummy, easy HCG approved recipes. All are pulled from the HCG Diet Direct Recipe Guide.

The availability of recipes is an extremely helpful tool on the diet. Almost every dieter who is aware of the possibility cites it as the most helpful tool/supplement they were able to find to help them navigate the homeopathic HCG diet. Limiting yourself to 500 calories per day and a very short list of foods is very hard. But it’s much harder when dieters don’t know what they can do with the foods they’re allowed. Accessing free HCG diet recipes gives them a taste of the variety that can come with mixing it up a bit! Try this recipe:

Recipe for Garlic Roast:

Ingredients:

3 lb. lean beef roast, fat removed

onion, 1/2, chunked

garlic, large cloves, 6 to 8

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon

chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon

cayenne, 1/4 teaspoon

sea salt, 1 teaspoon

pepper to taste

water as needed

Heat the oven to 350. Place your 3 lb. roast in a pan. Cut slits (about 6) in the top of the roast. One piece of cut garlic goes in each of the slits. Mix the spices in a bowl so you can easily rub them on the roast. Fill the bottom of the roasting pan about 1 and a 1/2 inches deep with water. Add garlic and onion to the water. Cook your roast for about 50 to 55 minutes. (Time may very depending upon roast size and oven). Don’t forget that one serving of protein is 3 oz.

This is another HCG approved recipe that works well for a group setting. If you have to host a gathering while on the HCG diet the Garlic Roast is a good choice. You’ll be sticking to the rules set down by your homeopathic HCG dieting protocol and your guests will love the roast!

Amelia Handley majored in exercise science in college with a minor in Nutrition. Yet she still found herself veering from diet to diet in order to control her weight. With HCG Diet Direct she’s found a program that allows her to combine her desire to control her own body weight with her education and not feel off balance.

Risky Weight Loss Surgeries

Jade Jackson | January 27, 2010

Making your weight loss plan work isn’t an easy task and during this process you want to avoid any stress and problems. This is the reason why it may be a good idea to find some good weight loss supplement that works for you.

The right product can make whole weight loss process much easier and can be used in long term. Also it’s a better choice considering that other commonly used alternative is weight loss surgery.

While looking for one you will notice that typically there are 4 types of these kinds of surgeries and all of them may be risky and even life threatening.

1. Vertical Banded Gastroplasty (VBG). During this surgery stomach is stapled into 2 parts where upper part is smaller. After food arrives it is passed to the lower part of the stomach though a small opening. Band is installed to avoid the stretching of that opening.

Risks of this surgery include band itself because it is prone to wearing and staple line which can break down causing the leakage of stomach juice into abdomen causing additional health problems.

2. Laparoscopic Gastric Banding (Lap-Band). This surgery mainly is performed on individuals who are seriously overweight. Band which is inflatable is placed around the upper part of the stomach. Usually this device is intended to be permanent. Size of the band can be changed.

Risks and side effects of this band include band slippage, abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea and heartburn.

3. Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RGB). This surgery creates a smaller stomach by stapling it. New smaller stomach pouch then is attached to the middle part of the small intestine. Benefits of this surgery are: 1) you eat less; 2) less nutrients are absorbed by the small intestine.

Leaking, diarrhoea, nausea are just few from number of possible side effects. Also “dumping syndrome” may be present because the food moves too quickly through the small intestine.

4. Biliopancreatic Diversion (BPD). This is the riskiest surgery from all 4 that’s why it’s used very rarely. Huge chunk of stomach is just removed reducing its capacity helping you eat less. Surgery is complicated and you may suffer from nutritional deficiency.

As you can see, each of these surgeries come with risks and obviously traditional risk free weight loss methods is a better choice, unless you are not extremely obese and weight loss surgery is last resort to save your life.

How to Be Successful on the Gastric Bypass Diet

Marjorie Salada |

Weight loss surgery is being used more often as a method for losing weight and regaining your health. Anyone having this weight loss procedure will be faced with having to follow the post bariatric surgery diet for at least 2 months following the weight loss surgery. This diet will be a big change but is necessary.

This diet is a 4 step food plan that is quite restrictive in the earlier phases. It allows you to slowly add foods back to your diet. The first step will last about a day and will be clear liquids and gelatin. You probably will not feel like eating anything, but the healing process will not begin until you do. You will only follow step 1 while you are in the hospital.

The second phase is the most difficult and boring. This phase of the diet consists of protein shakes, baby food or strained pured foods. You can eat any or all of these food items. You need 60 grams of protein each day and 32 ounces of liquids without carbonation or sugar. You should be eating 5 to 6 times each day and will take a lot of time to consume the required food and drink.

It will take time to eat each meal and you should not rush. Each day you should be eating 5 to 6 times. Eating slowly is crucial. It will be difficult to tell when you are full in the early days. You could vomit or have severe pain from over eating. Drinking should be discontinued 30 minutes before eating and should not be continued for at least 30 minutes after a meal is completed.

You can start the third step anytime between the second and eighth week. This will be the step where you begin reintroducing foods back into your diet. It is important that you chew until this food is liquid. Start with soft foods first and add vegetables and meats later. By the end of the eighth week, you should be able to eat almost anything that is chewed well. It is best to proceed with caution when it comes to sugar and fat. These food products can cause discomfort and dumping syndrome. This surgery can give you your life back. What you do with it is up to you!

What are the Different Weight Loss Surgeries and the Associated Risks Involved with Each?

Adriana Noton | January 22, 2010

With the increasing rates of obesity across the country, more people are looking for an effective method of losing weight. When traditional weight loss programs fail, overweight or obese people will consider weight loss surgery. There are a number of different weight loss surgeries available. The type of surgery chosen will normally depend on the person’s health status and body type. Before selecting a particular type of weight loss surgery, it is important to be aware of the different kinds of procedures available and the risks involved with each.

Laparoscopic Gastric Banding (Lap-Band): This type of weight loss surgery is often chosen by those who are overweight or obese. A surgeon inserts an inflatable band around the top part of the stomach to create a small upper pouch. Saline is injected into the Lap-Band which creates restriction. This restriction helps an individual to consume less food which promotes healthy weight loss. A person will also feel fuller after eating less food. The Lap-Band can be adjusted using saline injected into an access port underneath the skin to regulate the amount of restriction. Risks associated with Lap-band surgery include: band slippage, leakage of the device or erosion of the band.

Vertical Banded Gastroplasty (VBG): This type of surgery is often called stomach stapling. The surgeon uses surgical staples to divide the stomach into two sections. The top section is small which allows only a limited amount of food intake. There is a small opening where food passes from the top section to the lower section of the stomach. To inhibit stretching, a non-adjustable ring is placed around the small opening. Risks of the surgery include: staple line break down, suture tears and leaks.

Biliopancreatic Diversion (BPD): With this kind of weight loss surgery, the surgeon removes a large section of the stomach. Once removed, the amount of food and stomach acid production becomes restricted. The small pouch that remains is attached to the end section of the small intestine. By doing so, the food passing through will bypass the other sections of the small intestine. This permits the calories and fat from the food to be sent directly into the colon where they will not be absorbed. The result of less fat and calorie absorption is weight loss. Removing a section of the stomach is quite an invasive procedure. The major risk associated with this procedure is there is a high risk of nutritional deficiencies.

Choosing to lose weight by having a weight loss surgery has become a popular choice for millions of people around the world. It is one of the fastest growing forms of weight loss methods in the United States. If you are obese and are considering weight loss surgery, it is important to learn about each surgery and the risks and benefits of each type of procedure. Consult with your physician or a weight loss surgeon to help determine which surgery is best for your particular situation.

Find places to lose weight now! Instead of struggling with relapses and diet fads, try Lapband Canada. Read more about lap bands online and other’s experiences through Lapband blog.

Obesity In America – Do We Have A Chance?

John Smith M.D | January 20, 2010

Obesity in the United America is at an all time high. The amount are actually astonishing and at epidemic levels. We tend to be literally eating ourselves to death. Here are some facts concerning our country and how overweight and obese we currently are. Why is U.S. the fattest nation on the planet? Why do we have a tendency to overeat as much as we do and do so very little to help ourselves subside obesity?

60 million people in the United States are full of the disease obesity, where females are particularly affected more. Over 1/3rd of women between the ages of 25 and 74 are obese, the bulk of them being Mexican and African American. The amount of Americans since the 1960′s that are overweight or obese are an instantaneous results of prepackaged foods and exercise and activity virtual at a stand still for most.

Fast Food currently days plays a significant rule in the amount of obesity we see in our country. Fast food is currently socially accepted as a result of its globalization. These foods add more calories that you don’t need and are unhealthy in nature. The extra calories that are not weakened by the body is stored as fats which provides rise to obesity. It’s very easy for one to become overweight by eating fast food because it is so readily available to the public.

Since the 1990′s the statistics of overweight and obesity has dramatically increased as a direct result of the our eating habits and especially fast food restaurants. Obesity in children has dramatically increased since the 1980′s. Much to do with fast food and non outdoor exercise. The biggest factor being video games and computers. Honestly when is the last time you seen a kid outside playing. Its very rare to be the least.

In 1984 only 4% of children were thought to be obese. The obesity statistic in children current is 30%. 25% of all the obese children are starting to develop signs of diabetes type II. Of these children that are developing signs of diabetes type II more than 60% are showing signs of cardiovascular disease.

With obesity there is an increased risk of developing diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure. Even cancers such as colon, breast or prostate cancer. Obesity is linked to mental health conditions like having a low self esteem, shameful feelings and even depression. Health experts say that even losing ten to fifteen percent of your body weight can dramatically decrease people from developing these serious conditions. In addition, several obese people are discriminated against and targets of insults and various verbal abuse.

In the US we are seeing to many individuals dying each year as a result of obesity and many people that are obese are turning into diabetics. Who do we have a tendency to hold accountable? The people that distribute the foods that are bad for us? Well that would be one route to go but we are not forced to eat the food, we have a choice. Of course, it could not presumably be our fault as a result of we live in a very nation where we as a whole do not account ourselves responsible anymore.

Its time we start holding ourselves accountable for our eat habits and behaviors. In our current economic situation its much easier on our wallets to eat at fast food restaurants, especially since they are so readily available to us. We have to take totally different measures if we want to live a long healthy life. Eat leftovers. Eat a sandwich. Put together meals that are inexpensive but still healthy. Try other avenues before you eat at a fast food restaurant. Get the daily quantity of exercise. At least 1 hour a day. Make your children turn of the video games and get some outdoor exercise.

We need to take control of this worldly problem now before its too late. If you found this article the least bit educating or interesting and would like to learn more about the exact statistics of our level of obesity and the diseases that can be caused and what we can do the prevent obesity then follow the link below.

Fast Weight Loss – Now Possible With Revolutionary New Diet Solution

Michael Page | January 14, 2010

Most consider losing 3-7 pounds per week fast weight loss. To lose 1 pound of fat, you would have burn 3500 calories, a marathon worth of exercise. Could you do that 3-7 times per week?

That’s why fast weight loss has been dismissed as impossible by the average person. Believing that deprivation would be the key to lose weight, most have given up. But recent advances in understanding have explained why deprivation allows us to lose weight, but then we yo-yo back up when we restart normal diet patterns.

The key to long lasting weight loss and avoiding the yo-yo dieting trap is to eat, eat, eat. Deprivation dieting has left us depressed, hopeless, and heavier than when we started. So, when we eat, the most important thing to know is what to eat.

Remember, the right foods to eat are key in fast weight loss. If you’re hungry, eat. It’s as easy as that. The Diet Solution Program teaches the nuances of what you should avoid and you should eat as much as you want; that means, no hunger pains.

At the heart of the program is the rule that you may eat whatever grows or walks on this planet. That means if you can pick it from a tree or bush, pull it out of the ground like a root, or kill it and cook it in the oven, you can eat it. And, not only eat it, eat all you want. Eat until you’re full. Now, obviously you can’t go crazy, there are a few little tenets and guides to follow. But that’s the main concept.

For fast weight loss you can eat all kinds of fruits and vegetables. All the animals that you see on a farm are edible. Those include fish, chicken, turkey, beef, etc.

If you learn the correct foods to eat and then eat them with joy and happiness in life, your fast weight loss is ensured. The things growing on this earth are a natural fit for your healthy life and diet. Packaged foods sold in BHT-filled boxes in ugly supermarket store shelves are not for you.

These types of healthy food choices are vital to the health and wellness of all of us. These allow us to have fast weight loss and cut our chances of many degenerative diseases. This type of weight loss is really possible and helps to bring out the joy of life as you’re able to feel better about yourself and able to physically do all you desire!

Discover how fast weight loss #1 can change your life and health. Visit The Diet Solution Program Website for a free no-strings attached video which explains the program in detail. Fast weight loss means a healthier life!

You Can Wake Up Your Brain by Using Focus Factor

Shawne M. Patrick | December 25, 2009

Focus Factor has been developed by a doctor and contains all natural ingredients to stimulate memory and supply nutriments the body wants. While Focus Factor has a broad range of vitamins and could take the place of a daily supplement, the combined ingredients specifically target nourishing the brain. Focus Factor provides support to help the individual concentrate and target tasks at hand.

The nutrient elements in Focus Factor and their sources are ‘the key’ to the formula that’s used in the supplement. The beta-carotene employed in Focus Factor is like what is present in fresh veggies. The vitamin E comes from the soybean and is not a manmade as is employed in other supplements. There are 6 different types of vitamin C. The magnesium employed in Focus Factor is derived from malate, as well as citrate and from taurinate. DMAE is a natural element found in fish and is one of the nutriments utilized in Focus Factor that targets brain function. Bacopa is a botanical extract, as is Huperzine, and they also are a part of the formula created to support focus and memory. Vinpocetine is another botanical extract that bolsters brain activity. Focus Factor doesn’t use caffeine or stimulants in its formula. Ephedrine and ma huang are also not included in the ingredients.

While Focus Factor assists in healthy brain function, people that are concerned with maintaining a high level of brain activity should also add fresh fruits and vegetables to their diet. Protein should be derived from high-quality sources, like chicken or fish. For the vegetarian, tofu is an excellent source of protein. Focus Factor is a supplement and can’t take the place of exercise.

Something as easy as walking for about 20 mins gets the circulation going and the blood flowing to the brain. Play games that exercise the mind or read a good book. Sleep is also very vital in brain function, and an individual should get eight hours a night. Focus Factor can help when there’s lack of sleep but cannot completely replace brain energy that is lost.

Even though Focus Factor begins to work as soon as it is in the system, it is advised that people stay on the suggested dosage for 30 days. Check with your doctor before adding Focus Factor or any vitamins or supplements to a daily regime. Women that are pregnant or are nursing shouldn’t take Focus Factor.

For additional data about Focus Factor, visit this quality site.
